Kristin Miller: A Digital Portfolio

La Vie Collegienne.

La Vie Collegienne is Lebanon Valley College's independent campus newspaper. It is a two-time award winning publication at the collegiate level of the Keystone Press Awards. The paper is staffed entirely by students who pride themselves on giving fair and balanced coverage to the news that affects both Lebanon Valley College and the Annville Community. The La Vie staff list is below.

Staff Writer.

As a Staff Writer for La Vie, I gained experience in news writing, interviewing, professional communication, and production and distribution. My published stories were informational, concerning campus renovations and budget concerns. Junior year, I covered every Student Government meeting and wrote a recap. (See articles below).

Copy Editor.

As a Copy Editor for La Vie, I proofread the articles in APA format. I edited for grammar, clarity, and style. This position involved weekly internal communication to ensure every article was proofed and organizational skills to ensure the Editor got all of the articles by deadline.

The Patriot-News.

In the spring of 2009, I had a freelance opportunity to report for The Patriot-News by attending a few music performances and describing them. This was part of the Annual Millennium Music Conference held in Harrisburg, PA from February 12-15. My press pass is below.
